This VEF1700 muffle furnace is imbued with the highest quality parts, to ensure superior results after each use. It’s heating elements are made of molybdenum silicide (MoSi2), embedded in Mitsubishi 1800 alumina fiber insulation. This is all enclosed in a dual-wall, steel housing which traps heat in, avoiding heat loss to the exterior. As for control, a Eurotherm 3204 40-segment digital controller precisely controls all operations.
It has a built-in RS485 digital communications port and USB adaptor. This allows for remote control and monitoring directly from your PC. It’ll also let you save or export your results. A self-tuning PID control unit provides optimal thermal processing, while minimizing overshoot. A built-in ammeter and dual voltmeters offer easy monitoring, while a type B thermocouple ensures the unit is long-lived. Safety features include overheat and power failure protection. This and each one of our furnaces comes CE compliant.

Overheat protection shuts down the furnace if temperature is outside of acceptable range (refer to controller's manual) or when the thermocouple is broken or malfunctions.
Limit switch: When the lift rod reaches the highest or lowest point, the limit switch will power off the lift rod automatically, preventing over-rise or over-lower.
Power failure protection resumes furnace operation right after the point of failure when power is reestablished.
