High-Temperature Furnaces

High-temperature furnaces are crucial for creating and maintaining high temperatures in various industrial processes, typically operating between 1400°C and 1800°C. However, some furnaces can reach even higher levels, especially those used in advanced industrial processes. Many usually consist of a heating chamber, heating elements, insulation, and a control system. Depending on the type of furnace, they may also include a vacuum system, a conveyance system, safety interlocks, and a combustion system.

These furnaces operate by generating and controlling heat to process materials at extremely high temperatures. Some operate under vacuum or inert gases to minimise oxidation and heat loss. Additionally, several designs incorporate a muffle system that separates the heating elements from the materials being processed, thereby reducing contamination and enabling more precise control of the furnace atmosphere.
