TCF1200 Series Top-Opening 1200°C Muffle Furnace
The TCF1200 Series Top-Opening Muffle Furnace is a high-performance laboratory furnace featuring a convenient top-opening chamber design, precise programmable temperature control and excellent temperature uniformity.
With a maximum temperature of 1200°C and a recommended continuous working temperature of up to 1100°C, the series is available in 9 L, 28 L and 95 L chamber capacities to accommodate a wide range of laboratory and industrial heat-treatment applications.
Unlike conventional front-opening furnaces, the TCF1200 features a top-opening furnace door, allowing samples, crucibles and other materials to be loaded and unloaded vertically from above. This configuration is particularly advantageous when handling larger, heavier or delicate samples.

Convenient Vertical Loading
Samples can be lowered directly into the furnace chamber from above, eliminating the need to reach horizontally into a deep chamber. This is especially convenient for:

Reduced Risk of Sample Spillage
Vertical loading helps keep crucibles and containers upright during handling. This can reduce the risk of powders, granules or other sample materials spilling while being placed into the furnace.
Easier Access to Deep Chambers
For larger-capacity furnaces, particularly models with deeper chambers, a conventional front-opening design can make it difficult to access the rear of the chamber.
The top-opening configuration provides direct access from above, making sample positioning and removal more convenient.
Suitable for Large and Heavy Samples
The vertical loading arrangement allows larger samples to be carefully lowered into position rather than pushed horizontally into the chamber, providing better control during loading.
Improved Operator Protection
When opening a conventional front-opening furnace at elevated temperatures, radiant heat can be directed toward the operator standing in front of the furnace.
With a top-opening configuration, the operator does not need to stand directly in front of the chamber opening during sample access. Appropriate high-temperature PPE and safe operating procedures must still be used whenever handling a hot furnace or hot samples.

Four-Sided Heating for Excellent Temperature Uniformity
Heating elements are arranged around four sides of the furnace chamber, helping provide balanced heat distribution throughout the working area.
Combined with the high-purity alumina fiber insulation and optimized heating-element arrangement, the four-sided heating configuration provides excellent temperature uniformity and efficient thermal performance.
EUROTHERM 3204 Programmable Control
The TCF1200 series is equipped with an EUROTHERM 3204 programmable temperature controller, providing accurate and repeatable control of complex heating processes.
The controller provides 40-segment programmable temperature profiles, intelligent PID regulation, temperature auto-tuning, over-temperature protection and thermocouple failure protection.
An RS485 communication interface allows connection to a computer for process monitoring and data management. Furnace PV and SV temperatures can be monitored, actual heating curves can be displayed in real time, and temperature data can be recorded for subsequent analysis.
