Laboratory Reactors

Chemical reactions are conducted in laboratory reactors at controlled temperatures and rates. The use of reactors in the laboratory includes:

  • Homogenising protein samples for western blot analysis.
  • Preparing serial dilutions of a chemical.
  • Making solutions of known concentrations.

They are also used for chemical reactions, such as precipitation and filtration. Laboratory-grade reactors can be designed to perform one specific task, but many can be used for various purposes.
