SDS Series Hardened Steel Cylindrical Pellet Die Sets — 20, 25, 30 & 40 mm
Across International’s SDS Series dry pressing die sets are designed to produce cylindrical pellets from powder samples using a compatible pellet press. Available in 20, 25, 30 and 40 mm pellet diameters, the series accommodates different sample sizes and pressing loads.
Each die set features hardened steel tooling with a stated Rockwell hardness of HRC 62 and dimensional tolerance of 0.01–0.02 mm (10–20 μm). Every set includes two cylindrical core dies, a sleeve, a support base, a push rod and a pellet ejector.
The SDS20, SDS25 and SDS30 use W18Cr4V hardened tool steel for the core dies and push rod, with Cr12 hardened tool steel for the sleeve, ejector and support. The SDS40 is specified with Cr12 hardened tool steel.

Key Features
Four pellet diameters: 20, 25, 30 and 40 mm.
Hardened steel construction: Tooling designed for dry powder pressing.
HRC 62 hardness: Stated across all four sizes.
Precision fit: Dimensional tolerance of 0.01–0.02 mm.
Pellet removal components included: Supplied with a support base, push rod and ejector.
Model-specific load and fill limits: Select the appropriate die size for the sample and pressing application.
Operation & Maintenance
Always wear protective goggles and appropriate protective equipment during operation.
Never exceed the maximum pressing load specified for the selected model.
For SDS20, SDS25 and SDS30, sample fill height must not exceed one-third of the sleeve height.
For SDS40, sample fill height must not exceed two-thirds of the sleeve height.
After use, clean the components thoroughly with absolute ethanol and dry them before storage.
Store the die set in a dry box with silica gel to help prevent surface corrosion.
