SDS.V Series Vacuum Cylindrical Pellet Die Sets — 6, 13, 25 & 50 mm
Across International’s SDS.V Series vacuum dry pressing die sets are designed to produce cylindrical pellets from powder samples under vacuum using a compatible pellet press and an external vacuum source. Available in 6, 13, 25 and 50 mm pellet diameters, the series accommodates different sample sizes and pressing loads.
Each model combines hardened steel tooling with a vacuum connection and sealing components, allowing evacuation of the die assembly during sample preparation. The tooling features a stated Rockwell hardness of HRC 62 and dimensional tolerance of 0.01–0.02 mm (10–20 μm).
Every set includes core tooling, a sleeve, a support plate or base, a push rod and a pellet ejector. The SDS6.V additionally includes a transparent protection shield, while the SDS50.V includes a detachable push rod handle and an aluminum carrying case.

Key Features
Four pellet diameters: 6, 13, 25 and 50 mm.
Vacuum pressing capability: Vacuum connections and seals support powder pressing under evacuated conditions.
Hardened steel construction: Stated hardness of HRC 62 across the series.
Precision fit: Dimensional tolerance of 0.01–0.02 mm.
Pellet removal components included: Supplied with supporting tooling and an ejector.
Model-specific load ratings: Maximum pressing loads from 4 to 100 tons.
Sample loading limit: Sample fill height must not exceed one-third of the sleeve height.
Operation & Maintenance
Always wear protective goggles and appropriate protective equipment during operation.
Never exceed the maximum pressing load specified for the selected model.
Sample fill height must not exceed one-third of the sleeve height.
After use, clean the steel tooling thoroughly with absolute ethanol and dry it before storage.
Store the die set in a dry box with silica gel to help prevent surface corrosion.
