Ai AtmosPure AP-2440-2 Dual-Workstation Inert Atmosphere Glovebox
The Ai AtmosPure AP-2440-2 provides a controlled inert atmosphere for handling oxygen- and moisture-sensitive materials. Combining a spacious 2,440 mm stainless-steel chamber, two workstations with four glove ports, and an integrated gas purification system, it supports laboratory research, material preparation and process development.
A closed-loop circulation system continuously passes the chamber atmosphere through oxygen- and moisture-removal media. Under the specified reference conditions, the system achieves oxygen and moisture concentrations below 1 ppm.
The integrated Siemens PLC and touchscreen provide control of circulation, purification-media regeneration, atmosphere purging and chamber pressure. Dedicated oxygen and moisture analysers allow operators to monitor atmosphere quality during use.

Key Features
Dual-workstation configuration: Four glove ports provide access to a shared working chamber.
Low oxygen and moisture levels: Both specified below 1 ppm under reference conditions.
Closed-loop gas purification: A single purification column removes oxygen and moisture from the circulating atmosphere.
Automatic regeneration: PLC-controlled regeneration restores the purification media for continued use.
Siemens touchscreen control: Displays operating status, chamber pressure and system records.
Automatic pressure regulation: Adjustable pressure settings with protective limits and foot-pedal control.
Two transfer antechambers: Large and small chambers accommodate different sample and equipment sizes.
Continuous atmosphere monitoring: Dedicated VTI oxygen and moisture analysers.
Integrated Edwards vacuum pump: Supports antechamber evacuation and system pressure management.
Solvent vapour adsorption: An internal activated-carbon adsorber is included.
Stainless-steel construction: A 3 mm thick 304 stainless-steel chamber with a brushed interior.
Flexible integration: Eight spare KF40 interfaces support additional equipment connections.
Spacious Working Chamber
The chamber combines two 1,220 mm sections to create a shared internal workspace measuring 2,440 × 750 × 900 mm. Two inclined, removable tempered-glass front windows provide visibility and access for maintenance.
Four butyl-rubber gloves connect through O-ring-sealed aluminium-alloy glove ports. LED lighting and adjustable three-tier stainless-steel shelving help organise the workspace, while the supporting frame includes casters for positioning.
Closed-Loop Atmosphere Purification
An integrated variable-frequency circulation blower provides a stated flow rate of 90 m³/h. Gas passes through a single purification column containing 4.8 kg of copper catalyst and 4.8 kg of molecular sieve to remove oxygen and moisture.
The purification system has stated removal capacities of 60 L of oxygen and 2 kg of water. Regeneration is automatically controlled by the PLC using a compatible inert-gas mixture containing 5–10% hydrogen.
The system supports nitrogen, argon or helium, selected according to the application.
Controlled Material Transfer
Two stainless-steel antechambers allow materials to enter and leave the glovebox while limiting exposure of the main chamber to ambient air.
The large antechamber measures 360 mm in diameter × 600 mm long and features touchscreen-controlled evacuation and gas refill, a removable sliding tray, and lift-assisted doors. Its removable construction also assists transport and future modifications.
The small antechamber measures 150 mm in diameter × 300 mm long, with manual valve operation and a stainless-steel tray for routine transfers.
Atmosphere Monitoring and Pressure Control
The included moisture analyser uses a P₂O₅ sensor with a measurement range of 0–500 ppm. The oxygen analyser uses a ZrO₂ sensor with a measurement range of 0–1,000 ppm.
Chamber pressure is automatically regulated through the PLC, with user-selectable settings within −15 to +15 mbar. Automatic protection activates outside −16 to +16 mbar. A foot pedal allows convenient pressure adjustment while working through the gloves.
Typical Applications
The AtmosPure AP-2440-2 is suited to work involving air- and moisture-sensitive materials, including:
Battery materials research and electrolyte preparation.
Organometallic chemistry and sensitive synthesis.
Powder preparation, handling and weighing.
Electronic and functional materials development.
Perovskite and OLED research with appropriate optional filtration.
Laboratory testing and equipment integration under an inert atmosphere.
Installation Requirements
Installation requires a suitable electrical supply, compatible inert working gas, regeneration gas and appropriate gas regulators. The selected inert gas should be consistent across the working-gas and regeneration-gas supplies. Final utility requirements depend on the ordered configuration.
