Ai ChemVac Series Chemical-Resistant Diaphragm Vacuum Pumps — 2, 4 & 10 m³/h
The Across International ChemVac Series combines oil-free diaphragm technology with chemical-resistant wetted components for laboratory vacuum applications. Available in three capacities—ChemVac1, ChemVac2 and ChemVac6—the series offers pumping speeds from 2 to 10 m³/h, with ultimate pressures from ≤8 to ≤0.9 mbar, depending on the model.
Designed for rotary evaporation, vacuum drying, distillation, concentration, filtration and general laboratory processes, ChemVac pumps provide a clean vacuum source without vacuum pump oil. Variable-frequency motor control allows pumping speed adjustment, while automatic motor protection supports reliable operation.
All three models feature PTFE sandwich diaphragms, FFKM valves and PTFE/PVDF fittings. Additional gas-contact materials vary by model to suit different configurations. Compact dimensions make the pumps easy to integrate into laboratory workspaces.
Key Features
Three capacity options: 2, 4 or 10 m³/h to suit different system sizes and process requirements.
Oil-free operation: Eliminates vacuum pump oil and associated oil changes.
Chemical-resistant gas path: PTFE diaphragms, FFKM valves and chemically resistant fittings.
Variable-frequency control: Adjustable pumping speed for different operating conditions.
Automatic motor protection: Helps protect the motor against malfunction.
Compact laboratory design: Suitable for installation alongside rotary evaporators and other vacuum equipment.
Gas ballast on ChemVac1 and ChemVac6: Helps manage condensable vapours.
Low routine maintenance: Oil-free construction reduces oil-related servicing.

Applications
Rotary evaporation and solvent concentration.
Vacuum drying and distillation.
Laboratory filtration and solid-phase extraction.
Research and process development involving chemically compatible gases and vapours.
Choosing Your ChemVac
| Model | Selection Guide |
|---|
| ChemVac1 | Compact 2 m³/h option for smaller laboratory systems and processes requiring an ultimate pressure of ≤8 mbar. |
| ChemVac2 | 4 m³/h capacity with a lower ultimate pressure of ≤2 mbar for applications requiring greater flow and deeper vacuum. |
| ChemVac6 | Highest capacity in the series at 10 m³/h, with an ultimate pressure of ≤0.9 mbar for larger systems and more demanding vacuum requirements. |
Application Notes
Select the pump according to the required operating pressure, system volume, vapour load and chemical compatibility. For processes with significant condensable vapour loads, use an appropriate upstream condenser or cold trap to help protect the diaphragms and valves.
Ultimate pressure is a pump specification; actual pressure at the connected equipment depends on operating conditions. The supplied ChemVac2 example recorded approximately 2.4 kPa with an Ai 2L rotary evaporator, compared with its stated pump ultimate pressure of ≤200 Pa.
ChemVac6 inlet connection requires confirmation: the supplied description specifies KF25, while the specification table lists KF20.
