OPQN Series Omnidirectional Planetary Ball Mill
Multi-Directional Milling with Added Vertical Rotation
The OPQN2 Omnidirectional Planetary Ball Mill combines conventional planetary motion with an additional vertical rotation function. This continuously changes the orientation of the grinding jars, helping redistribute the grinding media and sample during operation.
Compared with conventional planetary ball mills, the added vertical rotation helps:
-
Reduce material settling and dead zones
-
Improve grinding uniformity
-
Increase contact between the sample and grinding balls
-
Support more effective mixing and mechanical alloying
-
Produce more consistent results during extended milling

The OPQN is suitable for fine grinding, mixing, homogenisation, dispersion and mechanical alloying. It supports dry and wet grinding, as well as vacuum or controlled-atmosphere milling when compatible vacuum jars or sleeves are used.
