20L Reactors
A jacketed glass reactor consists of an inner glass vessel enclosed within an outer jacket, allowing circulation of temperature-controlling fluids. This provides precise temperature control for reactions with heat-sensitive materials suitable for processes that require heating or cooling such as chemical synthesis, pharmaceutical research, and material testing.
There are 2 types of jacketed glass reactors
Single jacketed glass reactors
These reactors have one outer jacket that allows for temperature control of the reactor's contents.
Made suitable for: Laboratory applications with precise temperature regulation during chemical reactions or processes.
Dual jacketed glass reactors
Designed with both an inner and an outer jacket, these reactors allow for the circulation of cooling or heating fluids in-between.
Made suitable for: applications that require more precise and efficient thermal management because of its enhanced temperature control.
There are 2 types of non-jacketed glass reactors:
Single non-jacketed glass reactors
- these reactors lack an outer jacket and do not provide direct temperature control.
- Made suitable for: simple processes that do not require precise temperature regulation such as basic mixing, dissolution, or general reactions.
Dual non-jacketed glass reactors
- while these reactors lack an outer jacket, they possess two separate reaction chambers. It is purposed for experiments involving two different reactants that need to be combined or reacted simultaneously.
- Made suitable for: applications requiring separate reaction environments or parallel reactions, where precise temperature control is not a primary concern.
The Ai R-series of 20L jacketed and non-jacketed glass reactors are designed for various laboratory applications. Each reactor features adjustable stirring speeds and a constant pressure feeding funnel that allows you to add material to the vessel at a uniform and controlled speed. The built-in condenser makes it possible to recover some materials, also at a controlled rate of speed.
